Savage Republic - Mobilization
The live version of this song on “Live Trek 1985 - 1986” has some extra tasty special sauce on it, too.
Years ago, when I worked in a small indie shop in AZ, Bruce Licher would stop by occasionally to sell IPR merch. He was always great to talk to and he’d occasionally bring in his own used records to sell. Nice guy and talented letterpress artist. Check out the old postcards and flyers he has for sale on eBay. More about his printing services.
Good live video of this song from a 2007 show.
The Modern Lovers - Road Runner
The day before some vacation time … Lots of stuff to get done. So here’s my sonic equivalent of speed to get me through it.
A runner up for this slot.
GoGoGo Airheart - The Ideal Weight
Dug up from the 90’s archives.
The Sound - I can’t escape myself
Beer in hand. Leaning back on the couch. Staring at the afternoon sun dancing on the wall. Good jam.
Juicy Bananas - Bad Man
Perfect for today’s mood. From the Repo Man soundtrack.
Still thinking of the show this past Monday. Looking forward to the new album.
Zowiso - Tied hands
Last night, I saw The Obits (ex Pitchfork, Jehu, Hot Snakes, etc.) play a free show at a gutted restaurant in the International District of Seattle. So what does this song have to do with the show? Nothing. However, it was the first song that played on the iPod during my drive home around midnight. I played it three consecutive times at high volume because it had the same driving energy I had witnessed earlier.
